All Ducked Out

And all decked out with Artilleri and Reek! Sooo ok, a friend of ours, Keegan Burner has a new home on a private sim. He has a home @ Empathy too. He just needed a getaway…A perfect getaway from our everyday hectic and chaotic busy SLife (lol). Maybe he needed a break from our Ozimal bunnies. O.o (we have SOOOO many!!!) Or maybe he just needed some good ole Beach Serenity. Who doesn’t? While I was there, I remembered that I some super cute things from a past 50L fridays: A very cute nautical bikini outfit from Artilleri (also came with a towel that had poses on it) and a cute duckie floatie from Reek! Still wearing the same hair/skin/tatt from previous blog, its my fashion staple, if you will.

Blogging. I will probably be fashionably late reporting all the fashions. Maybe in the future I can be elite? lol……doubt it

I got a notecard from suetabulous Yootz (creator of Beetlebones) introducing the opening of a new shopping mall called Pookie Promenade. Right away I awwww’d at the name because that is what my SL Momma Mirendel Courtois calls me =)

Such a cute shopping mall! Easy access to awesome shops (which I’m definitely a fan of) where I won’t get lost in sporatic clutter. Clean. Cute. Photo Ops (like I did below) and the stores put out a giftie or dollarbie in celebration of the opening!! I can’t wait to try them on and blog about it.. Its COLD outside! We had a few days of sun and blue skies and now…brrrrr! Its a good thing I procrastinated in putting my winter clothes away. And…to top things off, I’m sick. Not anything major but I had dodged and weaved throughout the entire winter, avoiding all the sickie germs. Oye.

I have a “skylab.” It used to be a huge platform with the building grid texture, a place to work, build, create. I don’t build though…not much anyway. It IS a place I like to go, way up in the sky to work on blogs, pics, away from everything down below. At the moment I’m using a skybox I got from REEK a while back. I’m thinking it was a 50L fridays thing o.O I forget. I love it, though.. It has lines of poetry scribbled randomly on the walls. I’m often up there, going through my freebies and group gifts, working on my pictures, writing blogs..or even just doing heavy duty IMs.

I don’t have anything rezzed. I sometimes rez my photo screen…and I do have photolife, but its easier for me to just rez the 2 prim’d thing I made lol. I also love cute furniture so I rez it up in my skylab to see what I can use it for. I bought the Desperate Table from Kookie this past 50L Friday..its SO cute. And I also have an old group gift from itutu. I hearts that cozy heart chair

I can’t stop ooohing and ahhhing about this giftie from Glitterati. I got a reminder notice from them while doing my 50L Friday Shopping to get it while the gettings good. The gift is a SWEET electric guitar with 5 different poses and is located at the Second Style Headquarters. You must be in their group to receive it!

I’m overly excited about my new elf ears too, which I came across while doing the CBH Hunt (The Chase of the Beast Hunt). It wasn’t a hunt gift, but it was at a participating store called Panda Express. And isn’t that always the case? You venture off to do a hunt for fabulous free things and you end up buying something along the way lol. Ohhh I love hunts. GOOD hunts! And though free should be always good, it is NOT lol. a few years back I remember doing a hunt (and I won’t mention any names O.o) but everything was crappppp . And that is pretty awful to say, especially when they are free. But I said it. I’m very particular on my freebies lol. I especially love being introduced to new stores (being this new fashion blogger type person) I don’t know them ALL. (I bow down to you superb bloggers out there that know their shit) I’ve not reached that level. I’m just an ava who loves to shop and cute/sexy/rawr/unique/dorky/retro/and everything in between stuff. Procrastination

I’m constantly behind on blogging. Wait…scratch that, I am constantly behind on LIFE. It’s the procrastinator in me. Heh, I’m also lazy at times and need heavy doses of motivation or encouragement to get my ass in gear. But that’s ok. My pace, my way…It will get done eventually I was even late on 50L Friday shopping. I usually get that done first thing Friday but my ass was on slow motion. I have picture projects in the works and that night there was a huge party on Empathy. I got to dress up I’ll post that outfit later (yay for Zaara!!) and again.. see that? Procrastination.

At least I always have something to do if I keep putting off doing them

So..back to 50L Fridays. I bought both hairs from Tiny Bird, here is one of them and I matched it up with an old group gift from Artilleri, a FAB retro red-striped bikini (which came in a fat pack of colours) and I cheered about the tatt from [plastik], because when ‘burdies and feathers’ came out it had become my favorite tatt to wear. Now I have a new favorite during the St Paddy’s Festivities! It has cute clovers on the sleeve and it has the green colour option, as well as a recolorable option! For 50L? Talk about a bargain!

I got the last of the poses made by Penny Dreadful Arcade during last 50L Fridays, and it worked out perfectly with the gift bear I got from Miel. (Special gift to promote the Melt Sim, a collaboration of 25 artists who are translate one theme.) I haven’t gone to see it yet, but I am definitely going to soon. It started on March 6th and continues on through until March 21st. An excerpt from a note by Radio Signals: “This project is a study of translations. I presented 25 artists within Second Life with a concept of creating art with these words in mind: Drowning. Melting. Polar bears. Arctic. Culpability. Corporate greed. Inevitability. Extinction.”

It sounds intriguing – to say the least.

lol, I’ve always wanted to say that! I just got finished doing the Om Nom Nom Hunt, it was FUN!! A lot of my favorite stores participated, so it was motivation to get them all. One of my favorite hunt gifts is this CUTE waitress outfit with tray from le*Momo. I loveeeeeeeeee it!!! And if anyone knows me, anything food related I love too. Which is why I just HAD to do this Om nom Hunt! I still have much to unpack, but when I saw this, I had to blog about it and take pics ;p And sorray! I have to take you way back when I was a noob. I almost gave up on SL, not being able to function, dress or find my niche. Beautiful Nightmare (Hell) and I met on another online game and she had ventured off to try out Secondlife. She’d tell me her fun stories and show me screenshots. She asked me to visit her and as much as I missed my boo, I was reluctant. Being a noob is bad enough, but being a noob without any guidance is worse! But I had boo…she fixed me up and sent me off to see the new world. I didn’t love it right away, but after seeing how vast and limitless this new world was…I was hooked. It was only a matter of time! Now…I bring this up as a tribute to Beautiful Nightmare. We’ve gone through many things.. ups, downs..highs, lows. We’ve gone full circle! If not for HellKitten, I would have been so lost. She showed me where she shopped. She gave me clothes and helped me with hair and skins, until I found my own vibe.

My sister…my friend. I love her to pieces. And her style…cannot be described in one word. And its not just clothing, it is her whole VIBE. I know…because for this blog I tried to get a lil punk, a lil grunge, a lil rawr, a lil bit of boo….however, she cannot be duplicated. She is one of a kind!

During one of my many shopping excursions I picked up this very cute hat hair during an old 50L Fridays. Didn’t know when I’d wear it, or what I’d wear it with, but I knew I needed to have it. Sometimes I see an article of clothing and I can envision a story, rather than the style. A vibe rather than a fashion trend. Romanticism rather than trying to look all hip. I’ve never thought myself to be a trendsetter, lol! Far from it, there are many times I have dressed rather dorkily, or different than those I hang around with in world. I just love dressing up
